Old Dalby School

Rosie's expectation of PAGS at Old Dalby Primary School:

“To help teaching style to evolve”

“We expect to see small, measurable and sustainable steps in making progress.

Old Dalby C of E Primary School is a small village primary school, a few miles from the town of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. We have 126 children on role who are split into 5 classes, 4 of which are mixed years. As a voluntary controlled school, we have strong links with our local church and the Diocese of Leicester.

Our intake is varied, encompassing the village of Old Dalby itself, several nearby villages and children from the local town. We have a higher than average percentage of SEND children as well as a number of military families who join us and leave at different points in the school year or key stages. The vast majority of children are from white, British families with very few EAL children or FSM pupils.

At the heart of our school are our Christian Values of strength, courage, love, honesty, community, democracy, teamwork and friendship, the combination of which creates a school of which we are all very proud.”
